Mood Diary by Tony Attwood and Dawn Sheahan
Some children and adults on the Autism Spectrum have a fluctuation of emotions that is cyclical. A mood diary can determine the amplitude and wavelength of any cyclical pattern, the most common being a gentle wave pattern or a more saw tooth pattern.
The caregiver or person on the spectrum can nominate the degree of anxiety, anger, happiness etc experienced in a day or event using a numerical rating system based on the concept of an emotions thermometer.
